Description
Use this adapter to replace your factory radio while being able to retain the aux input port, THX amplified audio system, and factory rear dvd system. The AFDI-RSE-01 is designed to retain the Rear Seat Entertainment feature of select Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles. The AFDI-RSE-01 will send the correct DATA commands to keep the overhead system working properly, and provide the audio from the overhead to the aftermarket radio. If your vehicle has a 3.5mm aux jack the ADFI-RSE-01 will retain it by providing a RCA audio input to your radio. If the vehicle has the overhead video system the AFDI-THX-01 will keep that option active and allow the audio from that overhead to be played through the aftermarket radio; however the radio you install must have an auxiliary input to hear the audio from the overhead or the audio has to be connected through an FM mod. Also if the vehicle has the 3.5mm aux jack the AFDI-THX-01 will retain that feature by providing a RCA output- radio has to have aux input. If you are installing a radio that has navigation built in, the AFDI-THX-01 will provide the necessary navigation outputs like VSS (Speed Sense), Parking Brake, and Reverse. Will not retain SYNC system.
